Hello Surgeons!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and that the New Year is looking good.

We are continuing our Dragnet series this weekend, focusing on why we believe the Bible is trustworthy... it's going to be a great message.

Not a lot going on beyond that... just people spending time with family over the holiday season.

Sometimes it is good to breathe.

If you would, take a moment and pray for the New Year... that God would lead us in wonderful directions, providing clarity of purpose and wisdom for the journey.  Stay safe, enjoy New Year's Eve and we'll see you soon!

In Northern Virginia, sometimes people will ask about year-end giving. If you're looking for that opportunity, we would be honored to receive it and will pray that God uses generosity to bless beyond any reasonable expectation.

Thanks,

~The Surge

Merry Christmas!

We had a blast at our Christmas party, thanks to everyone for coming and especially to the band folks and Karen for playing harp - it was a truly lovely evening!

We're taking a break from our Dragnet series (just the FAQs Ma'am!) for a Christmas celebration... with special musical guest Non-Sequitur... and our special music is Jingle Bell Rock.

This afternoon Greg Johnson is leading a merry band of carolers at:

Christmas Caroling at Powhatan Nursing Home
Sunday December 22, 2013: 1:45 - 3:15 p.m.
2100 Powhatan St, Falls Church, VA

Vocal pitch appreciated, but not required! The essential qualification is that whoever comes not be likely to bring cold, flu, or other illness to the susceptible residents. After the big sing-a-long in the main room, we disperse in smaller groups to the rooms to serenade those who couldn't come to the main event.

Special thanks to the folks delivering our community cookies this week and to the sponsors and very generous people who contributed to blessing families in Falls Church through Our Daily Bread. It's a good thing to give back and we appreciate your heart here.

Have a Merry Christmas... if you're traveling, be safe... enjoy your family and friends and we'll see you soon!

~The Surge!
